A few of the favorite hikes from Hotel Pension Planaiblick.
Here are some examples of the many walks in the holiday region of Schladming Dachstein .
1. Circular walk on the Reiteralm including Spiegelsee
The arrival succeeds best by cableway Preneugg Jet (in summer open Tuesdays and Fridays) or by car on the toll road.
The tour start at the Gasselhöhehütte and performs on the Gasselhöhe (2001 m) and then over a narrow slightly steep ridge to Rippeteck (2126 m). From here it goes over a steep, partly slippery road down to the small Oberseen. For mountaineers there from here one more climb to Schober (2233m). From small Obersee to get in about 10 minutes to Mittersee, the so-called “Mirror Lake”. From here the marked path back to Reiteralmsee follow.
A tour that definitely good footwear and surefootedness required. On the way is no hut, only at the beginning, and then again at the end of the tour, the tour lasts about 3-4 hours (without Schober). For those who want to make any as long trek there’s also a well-developed Alpinweg at the foot of the Gasselhöhe directly leads to Mirror Lake (return about 1 hour)
2. Alpine trail “Höllenschlucht”
The starting point for this tour is the Seeleitenparkplatz in the Untertal. The journey can be taken up with their own car or the hiking bus.
From here we start a stepped hiking trail to Riesachwasserfall. This thundering in 2 levels 140 meters into the valley. Following the road we come to a 50 m long suspension bridge that spans over the gorge. Well secured it goes over a lot of stairs and continued to rise through the “hell”. The exit is via a steep ladder directly in Gföller Alm. A few steps further is the deep green Riesachsee (1388m), surrounded by green forest and high mountains. The way back is easiest designed along the forest road which again leads to Seeleitenparkplatz. For less adventurous, there are also the possibility after the waterfall to take a turn to the forest road and then to hike Riesachsee (here one must not over the suspension bridge).
A great hike, even for families with children from about 8 years. Surefootedness and sturdy shoes are as always a prerequisite. The walk takes about 2.5 hours to the lake and back. There are plenty of huts invite you to linger and enjoy in the area.
3. From the steirischen Bodensee to Hans Wödl Hütte (Seewigtal)
Driving either with your own car on the toll road or the hiking .
The starting point is the parking lot. After leisurely 15 minutes you can already see the beautiful Lake Constance . Here you can also make only a little walk around the lake ( 20 minutes) or even look to the waterfall . For Hans Wödl lodge it goes from here on steep waterfall along upwards . The higher one climbs the more beautiful you can see Lake Constance . The climb takes about 1 1/2 hours , about 400 meters in altitude ) . Then it’s back on the same route back down .
Crush resistance and sturdy footwear are required. The path is very steep and rocky .
Our culinary tip : Must try a dish with freshly caught trout from Lake Constance at Forellenhof
4. Hike from Obertal to Duisitzkarsee over hiking trail
Driving your own car or the hikingbus takes you to the parking space Eschachalm.
From here, the trail leads relatively steeply along the water upward on the Saghüttl and Kessler ground for Dusitzkarsee. On the way up, you should definitely take the time to sit down and einmmal enjoy the wonderful scenery. Who this path is too steep can also go on the forest road to the top, this usually leads parallel to the hiking trail. Once at the top you can enjoy a fabulously beautiful sight. With the Dui- sitzkarsee and Fahrlech hut, the beautiful mountain meadows and the opposing torrent gives a wonderful picture.
On the way back you can then start again on the hiking trail or forest road.
A great hike which can vary depending on your condition and the good will be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama.
On the way back to Schladming you can still make a short detour to the Wehrhofalm. A nice little cottage with great food and friendly innkeepers. Also perfect for children, with a small lake, goats and rabbits.
5. Panoramaweg Rittisberg
Access by private car or public bus to Ramsau Beach
From here take the chairlift to the top and then walk to the highest point to the recently completed the summit at 1582m. Always follow the signs to get to the Ochsenalm. On the way offer some very nice views of the Dachstein south walls kalkbleichen. On a broad forest, it then proceeds to the Sonnenalm. Family Höflehner here cares wholeheartedly to the welfare of guests. The sun terrace invites you to linger. For children, a large playground with many animals and a games room is available. Be sure to try the homemade pine 🙂 Continue along the road you will reach the Halseralm, a traditional hut that already 400 years old and a happy look up to Radstadt offers. The last hour goes slightly downhill to the Rittisberg around to the parking lot back.
Walking time for the trail approx 4 hours (with stopover longer ;-))
A nice walk, also very suitable for families with children as all cabins are very child friendly.
